A hitwoman named Mary (Taraji P. Henson) acts as a guardian angel for a young boy (Jahi Di'Allo Winston) whose father she killed. When the youth starts working for a ruthless drug kingpin, Mary decides to intervene, setting off a chain of events that will shake Boston's criminal underworld to its core.
