Leg ulcers of venous origin account for 70 to 80% of all ulcers and, although they often take a long time to heal, their recurrence is also highly problematic, with estimates that around 70% of these ulcers reappear up to a year after closure.Prevention of venous ulcer recurrence includes the use of compression, which is the most decisive preventive measure, but also regular physical exercise, venous return exercises, limb elevation and skin care, including cleansing and moisturizing.This book is the result of a phenomenological, descriptive study that sought to understand the factors that contribute to adherence to measures to prevent venous ulcer recurrence, from the perspective of people with venous ulcers.
