Preserved Heritage," discloses hurdles that the author experienced in the course of her life. It begins a few days before her 16th birthday in Colombia, South America, when a secret wedding confronted her with its consequences. Repairing this indolence's mistake accounts for her adherence to God's mercy, parents' pardon, and family's help. The love for her three daughters engaged her with the lifestyle and freedoms that the American people enjoy. Her determination to rescue them from the abusive behavior of their father and his family brought her to Los Angeles, California, with a resident visa in May of 1961. Inspired by the American women's emancipation, she learned the basics of the English language coupled with being part of the American labor system and Unions. She reunited with her daughters in August 1962, and brought them legally to California in 1963. Their priority of reaching the American dream led them to education, becoming American citizens, being part of the American government, respecting its constitution and not taking politicians' handouts, such as the so-called bilingual education. Embracing American freedoms, she divorced her first husband, remarried, and gave birth to her fourth daughter. Her professional achievements as an American citizen account for her work in the aerospace industry as an electromechanical designer for the Space Station Freedom, national missile defense, and Shuttle-Mir Program. Forced to retire, changed her liberal way of life in California to a peaceful conservative environment in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
