Prosperidad, an adjacent border town, still suffers from poverty, disease, and warring gangs. follows Diego Alejo, a brilliant high schooler, determined to save his Abuelo from Alzheimer's disease, at any cost. Lacking the proper equipment, however, he must fight for a research position in Goldstone City's high-tech labs. When his project catches the attention of gangs hoping to create their own superpowers, his family and friends get tangled up in the criminal underworld.
