Poetry of a Survivor

Emily Showman was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. She graduated from Geneva High School where she took part in theatre for four years. Emily began writing at the age of eight. She would write stories about her Littlest Pet Shop figures. Emily attended Lake Erie College majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in English studies. She is a mental health advocate across all social media platforms and now works as an advocate at a domestic violence shelter. Emily writes books on her days off and believes words can always help someone break free.
