P.I. Jack Trencher silently cursed. It seemed as though he ran into problems no matter which way he turned. His old man used to say, "There you go, Jack, pissin' in the wind again." Not that he actually was, mind you. Still, he has been having doubts about his chosen field. It has resulted in personal injuries and divorce--his.
