band, several of whom also take vocals, recorded at WIS in Columbia, South Carolina in October 1962. It's straightforward bluegrass with some versatility to the approach, going into instrumentals, old-timey tunes, comic numbers, and a couple tracks (
"Step It Up and Go"
and "Born in Hard Luck," both sung by
"Greasy" Medlin
