Perian is an itinerate minstrel, living a life of freedom with little responsibility. But when invading warriors sweep him up as a captive, Perian's idyllic world is shattered. The magic wielded by his friends to release him reveals hidden memories of who he once was, his mission to save his people from persecution, and his powerful seer's gift.
