A small family ventures up the Amazon, and then up a tributary, and then another, with The Gumball King. They soon get into lots of trouble with gold miners, timber rustlers, and Indians. At the same time, They're feeling the temptations that tend to come with tropical heat.
The story is a rollicking spoof that actually touches on real problems in today's Amazonia.
