In 1947, a mysterious craft crashed near Roswell, New Mexico. In the years that followed, social consciousness became attuned to the skies, watching alertly and intently for strange craft -- and seeing them. In 1950, Donald Keyhoe released this book, "The Flying Saucers Are Real," after several interviews with personnel involved with the United States Air Force and their investigation, "Project: Saucer."
