It primarily focuses on distribution mechanisms and trade dynamics at a large scale through a series of case studies and synthetic papers, including previously unpublished material. Contributors aim to identify the routes taken by Greek ceramics across the Mediterranean Sea to distant lands and to consider how they were subsequently redistributed. Commercial contexts (ports, shipwrecks and warehouses) are studied with a view to elucidating the dynamics, organization, and main drivers of the pottery trade.
