Out of the Shadows

JACKIE PORTER is a young eighteen-year-old fun-loving girl, who graduates from high school in West Palm Beach during the 60's. She has strange disturbing dreams. Jackie becomes more and more attracted to Don Woods, and against her parent's wishes, she runs off to live with him. They go to Miami where they get married. When money becomes an issue between Don and Jackie in Miami, Don leaves her and she returns to her family in West Palm Beach with two small children. While at her parents, Jackie attends church, goes forward to give her heart to the Lord. She arrives home and finds that Lori, the baby is very sick. When Jackie takes her to the hospital, it is found that the baby has meningitis and dies the next day. Devastated, Jackie takes Timmy, her son and leaves to try to find the whereabouts of Don. She ends up in Boulder, Colorado, where she works as a clerk for her aunt at a motel for college students. She becomes the interest of an older man who has a mysterious business which keeps her from becoming too involved. Don comes to Boulder to reconcile with Jackie and together, they have to find their son who has been kidnapped by associates of the older man that Jackie has been seeing. They also have to make a decision about the Lord Who they feel is calling them home.
