Our Lamentations: Wounded and Scarred

As we live our lives, our lamentations will manifest. From all the hurt, pain, and fears we experience, our wounds and scars are inevitable. What if we could live life pain free, without any fears or insecurities, or without ever being injured? I suppose life would be wonderful, but that simply is not reality? The balance that God adds to help us mature will always include trials and tribulations to assist us in becoming stronger. Pain and suffering will appear, whether mentally, emotionally, or physically to help us discover our threshold in dealing with our lamentations. It may not make us feel good, and we may have to be spiritually minded to understand the benefits. As hard as we may try to avoid our moments of pain and fears, they may yet persist because it appears that they are divinely established to help us find our tolerance level for the worst of situations. As one of life's most important lessons, we must learn to deal with this kind of adversity. Some of the wounds and scars from our lamentations include divorce, death, abuse, rape, molestation, rejection, illegitimacy, physical, mental, emotional abuse, genocide, failure, homelessness, old age, and many other pain filled scenario's. We must always remember that "for every hurt, we can find healing; where there is war, we can find peace. God can heal all wounds and change the memory of every hurtful scar. Our therapy for healing all of our lamentations begins with the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
