This book introduces the concept of philosophy or "fill a sea" as Oly puts it. The movement to help children understand philosophy began in the 1970s and was introduced by Matthew Lipman (1922-2010). According to the Institutes for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children, "philosophy helps us learn to recognize the ethical problems and possibilities in our experience, to think them through carefully, to make sound ethical judgements and to take appropriate action."
