Once again you are invited to share the lives of three intrepid adventurers as they confront the ambitions of eight cloned women. Now retired, senior homicide detective Henry Gordon is faced with a totally unexpected dilemma when his companion in adventure Tracey DeLacy resists all of his overtures for settled married life and returns to Karmel. While struggling to understand Tracey's motives he is presented with another complication in his existence when artist and former police constable Julia Roots moves in with him. An unusual combination of woman and child, Julia quickly becomes an essential part of his household and is soon swept up into some of his adventures. Finally, after all kinds of mayhem involving the wildest of the Cleo Green clones, our hero decides that enough is enough and that he will not contemplate risking his life and the lives of his companions any further. After almost succeeding in that he is then thrust into a strenuous struggle for survival against the most awesome of nature's forces with none other than a Cleo Green for company. Such are their experiences he finds that not only is his perception of the clones profoundly altered but also that he is able to confront a personal demon that had him fearful of any close interaction with them. This, the third novel of the Octagon Fragrance series, has all of the exciting elements of the previous two.
