Microcirculation refers to the circulation of blood in the microvessels of the microvasculature that is present within organ tissues. These microvessels include capillaries, arterioles, metarterioles and venules. In addition to these blood vessels, microcirculation is also enabled by the action of lymphatic capillaries and collecting ducts.
