New Beginnings

Emma thought that she was finally going to get to start living the life she had always wanted for herself. Quiet, drama-free, happy. She never intended to be a single parent, but she devoted herself to giving Mark a happy childhood. Their house was chaotic, over run with toys, never-ending-laundry, and love. Lots of love. There was never anyone to lean on, though. She was so tired. She didn't regret one moment of the last twenty-three years, but where had the time gone?
