The one principle that the author has reflected on, taking something for what it is, has allowed him to gain a true respect for himself. This respect and appreciation was tough to see initially as he lives with one arm and the effects of a severe brain injury. He hopes that you can gain this respect and more for yourself amidst your mountains in life. For the author's situation, it's simple; just ask what is the case? He lives life with one arm. Yes, it's different from what most other people deal with but it does not change the person that he is and what he stands for. Taking this stance on everything in life will be freeing as it relates to the judgment we each have of ourselves. In gaining this respect and appreciation for yourself the author trusts that you will be able to: open your inner doors, find the person you want to be, connect with your intertwining abilities and find that place where life simply flows. Open the Door, What Do You See? is a collection of poems, reflections and insights written by the author, as well as selected inspirational poems written by other authors, as noted.
