Natural Elements

Set in the '60s and '80s, Natural Elements is the story of eighteen year old Geeta. Being a woman of mixed race (her mother is black/Carbbean and her father is South Asian) Geeta doesn't always fit in due to the color of her skin. But with the support of her mother and best friends Lalita and Genesh she manages to get through tough times and deal with the prejudice that surrounds her. But her mother has a secret. A secret that once revealed informs her of her mother's long ago affair and changes her life forever. Tracey M. Hook is a graduate of City College of NY and received a MA in Creative Writing. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to Seattle, WA. She currently lives in Tacoma, WA with her husband and teenage sons.
