Johnny, the young son of the Kissy family, decides to go for a fly before starting his homework. He has a minor accident and becomes lost in the woods. Johnny meets a very smart turtle named Fred who shows him how to use the sun, trees, and moss to find his way home. Johnny makes a new friend and learns important facts of nature.
