You are given your birthday and your death date, with a dash in between. What have you been doing with that dash, your dash? You must ensure that you live every minute of every day. So, every day, I work on my dash.Finding a lump was one of the most fearsome things that happened to me, or so I thought. It was followed by uncertainty, insecurity, horror, and lost hopes. Yet, each day I woke up, it was a new day to hope, a day to get through, a day to live. I'll admit: it wasn't all too easy. It wasn't easy at all. But with hope, with faith, and with my God, is there anything that's not possible? So, I held on... one day... then another... and then another. There are many women out there who've been victims of breast cancer and quite a few survivors. They know just as much as I do that breast cancer is not a death date but more of a bad dream. Today, I am using my breast cancer experience to help others. I wish to raise awareness about early detection and metastatic breast cancer. I also strive to live my life to the fullest. That's what this book is about. This is my story
