My Niche in Life

Cecelia Hunt's journey began when she was born in the small town of Pittsburg, in Southeastern Kansas on October 9th, 1933. She was delivered at home by Dr. Bell. Later in her life he would play a role in one of the more memorable events in her nursing career. Why the title My Niche in Life? It came about because of one of the smartest nurses Cecelia ever knew. She had a photographic memory. One day she said to Cecelia, "Cecelia, when you became a nurse you found your niche in life." She was right. Cecelia has been in some kind of nursing for over 60 years. Cecelia said this of her life, "When I look back at my life, I recognize all the things that influenced my journey into nursing. My memories, I treasure them all. Whether happy, sad, or even mundane, I have 80 years to look back on. It is my belief that I am one of the fortunate ones to have lived the life for which I truly was destined."
