My Dear Friend

To those that have or have had friends or family struggling with drug or alcohol abuse, who have been in and out of jail or rehabilitation centers... Gene had just been released from prison for dealing and trafficking drugs. Gene was never afraid of work, and would always say with a smile on his face, "I'm just trying to be like Jesus." He was unashamed of prayer, tears for His Savior, or letting others know of Him. There was only one thing Gene was ashamed to admit, and tried to hide from everyone. He was ashamed of his addiction.
