Missing Link

Alejandra Rodriguez, Ali to her friends and family, remembered when the Darjah came to Earth, The Darjah were alien refugees, displaced and losing a galactic-scale war against their enemy: The Infinium. In this war, the females of the Darjah were lost and without a means to repopulate, the remaining Darjah males would eventually die out. Twenty-one years later, Ali was among the first few to submit her application to the Merge Initiative; a breeding program set by Humans and Darjah as a means to help the alien species come back from the brink of death. Meanwhile, General Ha'Drak knows taking a mate will never be the same as his first love, and he dreads the attachments that come with such a union. He already has a strained relationship with his only son, and adding another bond on top of that and his grief is taxing on his soul. The General knows his duty to his people must come first, to repopulate and win the war, but it doesn't make the commitment any easier. Ali is leaving behind everything that made her Human, Ha'Drak must embrace an alien mate with his heart on the line, and both must come to face the intricacies of friendship, love, and war.
