Twenty-seven-year-old Charlotte Brown is visiting the UK for the first time, and she's alone, much to her parents' dismay. Since her grandmother's death, she's come to realize how fragile life really is and how quickly it's over. She dreams of a family of her own, and she's ready to take bold steps in order to change the mundane path she's on. In an effort to prove to herself that she can conjure bravery and have the life she's always wanted, she faces the bitter cold streets of London alone. But when she meets Jake, a well-dressed, funky sock wearing American, she's thrown off her carefully wrought tracks. Charlotte has her whole trip planned to the hour, but her serendipitous run-in with Jake makes her wonder what else she's been missing. The two help each other decide what's more important-a well-planned life or one that's chosen by their hearts.
