Mental Dragons

Rom is an intentionally average student whose school survival strategy is to be as unremarkable as possible. Nobody beats you up for being average. Julie is an aspiring poet forced to start over at a new school after yet another epic humiliation at the hands of a group of bullies. On the surface, the only thing these two have in common is a political rivalry between their fathers going back 20 years. They're brought together when Rom's not-quite-ex-girlfriend Rozie targets Julie with a cruel prank. Rom's sincere request for homework help convinces Julie he may be more than just an arrogant poetry butcher. He might be her first true friend. He might even be something more. A fact that's unacceptable to Rozie. She's not the kind of girl you dump. Rozie is a millionaire's daughter. She's head of the cheer squad. She's everything Julie could never hope to be. She also just might be psychotic.
