This wooden kids table and chair set is built around a simple idea: the tabletop should do more than hold things up. Lift it and a 21 in by 13.5 in storage space appears underneath, deep enough for coloring books, puzzles and building blocks, and the lid can be fixed at any angle so it doubles as a drawing board or a book rest. The table measures 26 in by 15.5 in and stands 23 in tall, with a chair that seats a child at 11 in. A 22 in paper roll holder carries a 32.8 ft roll of 17.5 in wide paper, and a pen slot keeps the 2 included markers from rolling onto the floor. Cushioning pads soften the closing lid and quiet the chair legs, which is a welcome detail in a shared bedroom.Solid wood legs support an engineered wood surface that has been sealed against moisture, so juice and paint wipe off without leaving marks. The tabletop carries up to 66 lbs and the chair up to 110 lbs, and rounded corners with cutout handles keep small fingers safe. Recommended for children 3 years and older, the set arrives with hardware and instructions for a straightforward build.
