Twin beds often get treated as an afterthought, plain frames for a guest room or a first bedroom. This upholstered platform bed takes a different approach, wrapping the headboard in linen fabric over high-density sponge and shaping it into vertical channels that catch the light and give a small bed real presence. The headboard adjusts across three levels, so the frame stands between 37.5 and 43.5 in tall depending on whether the mattress is slim or closer to 12 in thick. Ten wooden slats span the platform with extra middle metal support legs beneath, together rated for up to 500 lbs, and inclined legs brace the corners so the frame does not rock when someone sits on the edge. Small details keep it livable: noise-free foam at the joints stops squeaking, non-slip foot pads protect hardwood and tile, and hook and loop fasteners hold the slats in place while speeding up assembly. With 6.5 in of clearance, most sweeping machines pass underneath without stopping. The frame measures 77..
