Most portable hoops stop short of regulation, which is fine until an adult wants a proper shooting session. This system reaches 10.01 feet on a three-section pole, with five settings on the way up, so free-throw practice happens at the height it will be played at.The backboard is 43 by 27 inches in Pc, impact-resistant, shatter-proof and sun protective, mounted in a full metal frame that keeps the rebound consistent rather than dead at the edges. Two shock-absorbing springs sit behind the 18 inch rim to take the force out of hard shots, which is what keeps a portable system tight over a season instead of rattling loose.Take out a pole section and the range drops to between 5.58 and 7.55 feet, so a household with younger players is covered by the same hoop. Adjustment is tool-free throughout. The Hdpe base fills for stability and the 58 pound frame stays planted through play. Adult assembly is required, the base must be filled before use, and nobody should hang from the rim.
