A first real desk marks the start of homework habits, and this kids wooden study desk gives a child room to build them. The desktop sits 24 in from the floor and spans 31.5 in, with hutch shelving rising above it to keep textbooks, folders and a reading lamp off the writing surface.a wide drawer runs 28 in across and 14 in deep, rolling out on guide rails with a metal knob that small hands can grip. Paper, rulers and art kits lie flat inside instead of being folded into a narrow tray, and the drawer closes flush so the desk keeps a tidy face. The tabletop is rated for up to 200 lbs, enough for a monitor, a stack of books and a lamp at the same time.Engineered wood panels are braced with plastic furniture connectors and a reinforced crossbar, while non-slip foot pads hold the frame steady on hard floors. Burr-free surfaces and rounded edges suit children 3 years and older, and the neutral finish blends into a bedroom, study or living room corner. It arrives with instructions and hardware for a straightforward build.
