Some of the most memorable cooking happens outside with a little mud, sand and water. This wooden mud kitchen gives young chefs a dedicated backyard station where messy, hands-on play is the whole point, and where pretend recipes can be stirred up from whatever the garden provides. The cooking area includes 4 stoves with rotation knobs that click, a water tank and a sink for washing and pouring, and a detachable box that serves as a sandbox or a planter box. A double-sided chalkboard lets kids write their own menus or play drawing games, and 8 accessories, including a pot with lid, a frying pan and 3 kitchen utensils, get the restaurant open right away. Organization is built in with a storage shelf, 3 hanging hooks, a storage cabinet and bottom shelving, so utensils and pots have a place when playtime ends. A decorative canopy overhead creates a comfortably shaded spot. The frame is made from sturdy carbonized fir wood with plywood, and the kitchen complies with Astm and Cpsia standards. Measuring 38.5 x 15.5 x 43 in with a 20 in countertop height, the mud kitchen suits kids ages 3 and up. Assembly is required. Sensory exploration, creative imagination and fine motor practice all come together here, making it a memorable gift for Christmas or a birthday.
