A dedicated study desk changes how a child approaches homework, and this one gives them room to spread out. The desktop runs 35.5 in wide and sits 24 in from the floor, with hutch shelving rising above it to hold textbooks, folders and a reading lamp where they can be seen but not in the way.a pull-out keyboard tray slides out from under the surface, which means a laptop or keyboard can be used without giving up writing space. An 11 in by 9.5 in drawer glides on metal slides for pens and small supplies, and 2 open shelves at the side keep binders upright. The desktop is rated for up to 220 lbs and the bottom shelf for up to 66 lbs.Safety details matter in a child's room, so the desk ships with an anti-tipping device that anchors it to the wall, and non-slip foot pads keep the frame from sliding on hard floors. Rounded corners soften the edges, and the sealed surface wipes clean after spilled drinks or marker slips. Whether it lands in a bedroom, a study or a dorm room, it gives a student a place that feels like their own.
