Children lose interest in a hoop they cannot reach, which is why the adjustment range matters more than any other specification here. The rim moves between 3.3 and 7 feet with no tools, so a three-year-old can score on the lowest setting and the same hoop still challenges a ten-year-old practising layups. Changing it takes seconds, which means it actually gets changed rather than left at whatever height it was built. The backboard is 28.5 by 19.5 inches in shatterproof Pc with a metal support frame behind it, so hard shots return a real rebound instead of a dull thud. Thick metal tubing runs through the upright, and a 15 inch inner rim keeps the proportions honest for a child moving toward a full-size court later.Stability comes from a base that fills with water or sand to add 58 pounds, enough to keep a 20 pound frame planted when a game gets physical. Built-in wheels mean it rolls to the garage when the driveway is needed, and the base holds the ball between games. Adult assembly is required and younger players should be supervised.
