An entryway has about one square metre to do three jobs: hold coats, store shoes and let you check yourself before the door closes. This freestanding rack does all three in a single footprint, pairing a full length mirror measuring 11.5 by 55 in with hanging space and a shelf. The mirror is high definition glass with an explosion-proof backing, which matters in a hallway where bags swing and doors slam. Beside it a hanging rod and three hooks take the daily rotation of coats, jackets, hats, scarves and tote bags, with the whole frame rated to carry up to 100 lbs. At floor level an 11.5 by 9 in shelf holds the shoes that otherwise pile up by the door, or a box for gloves and keys.a robust metal frame carries the load and keeps the 22.5 lb unit steady on its four universal wheels. Two of those wheels lock, so the rack rolls out of the way for vacuuming and then stays exactly where you put it back. Because nothing is fixed to the wall, it works in a rented flat, and it moves with you from hallway to bedroom when the layout changes. It suits a compact entryway, a bedroom corner that needs a dressing mirror, a cloakroom, a spare room used for guests, or a studio flat where one piece has to do the work of three. Assembly is required and the manual is included.
