A director's chair earns its keep by putting everything within arm's reach. This one adds a fold-out side table for a plate or a phone, an insulated cooler bag that hangs off the frame, and a storage pouch for the small things that otherwise end up in the dirt. Set up, it stands 45 by 22 by 39 in with the seat 18 in off the ground, a tall height that makes standing up easy after a long evening. The frame is reinforced metal with a rustproof finish, rated to carry up to 400 lbs, and it is wrapped in wear-resistant oxford cloth with a Pvc coating that handles damp grass and strong sun without fading. Padded armrests lift off entirely when you want a slimmer chair, and non-slip foot pads keep the legs from sinking into soft ground at a campsite or a beach. Nothing needs assembling. The chair arrives ready to open, and when the night ends it folds to 40 by 21 by 7 in at 14 lbs and carries on a portable strap. That makes it as practical indoors as out, whether it is extra seating for a crowded living room, a seat on the sideline at a youth game, a base camp chair, or the spot you claim beside a fire. It works at tailgates, campgrounds, patios, garages, and anywhere an extra chair with storage beats an extra chair without it.
