Three extra feet of net changes the game more than the number suggests. At 13 ft the span is wide enough that a shot down the line is a real tactic rather than something that sails past the post, which is what separates a proper rally from two people gently hitting a shuttlecock back and forth. Height adjusts freely from 3 ft to 5 ft, and that range is what makes one set work for a whole family. Low for children who need to clear the net to stay interested, full height for adults who want a game rather than a warm-up. The adjustment happens on the standing frame rather than requiring the net to be unthreaded and re-tensioned. Steel poles in 0.7 in and 0.9 in diameters telescope down for transport, and the net is polyethylene edged in oxford fabric where the tension concentrates, which is where cheaper nets fray first. Ground pegs anchor the frame. The complete set weighs 9.3 lb and packs into an included carry bag, light enough that taking it to a park is a decision made on the way out of the door rather than planned in advance.
