Man Goes Bananas: A Caribbean Romp

When Anthony first sets foot in the Caribbean in the aftermath of the Second World War, in search of a new life full of adventure and romance with his young wife, Henrietta, he is struck by the knowledge that what he has is probably all men's fantasy: a profitable family business, developments rooted in Caribbean history, and far more sunshine and clean air than he had in London. But even amidst this idyllic historical adventure filled with endless days of romance and sex, thrilling crime threatens the happiness of our new émigrés. Eldred, a bent policeman involved in cocaine smuggling, has it out for Anthony, and what with the shifty real-estate tycoon Jeremy Firestone trying to muscle in on Anthony's family business, there seems nowhere left to turn. Anthony seeks refuge in a men's fantasy of romance and sex at a wife swapping club, but even as he realises this is not the answer, his disillusioned wife Henrietta has found adventure and romance with Yakatit, one of the most talented young musicians in Caribbean history. All this drama is set against a backdrop of upcoming governmental elections, which the drugs cartels are eager to subvert with their own agenda. When a dramatic crime gets pinned on Anthony, time is short to prove his innocence. Will the dastardly plans of Eldred and Jeremy Firestone be revealed?
