Come down to Magpie Glen, a leafy suburb isolated from the city. An unlucky family called the Greenes move there looking for a new chapter in life. It seems a wonderful place to live. Lots of charismatic neighbours within a friendly community.But their new next-door neighbour, Floyd Lennon, is a reclusive old man who was long ago shunned by the neighbourhood. And rumours suggest he's building something in the nearby woods. Hammering can be heard from his shed and there are chronic burning smells from his garden. The local kids are keen to discover what Lennon's up to. The Greenes have no way of knowing why he was rejected in the past.Magpie Glen is a gothic portrait of suburban secrecy, conformity and crime.
