Sri Hari's quiet and peaceful retired life is suddenly disrupted by the arrival of his new tenants, Shanti and her teenaged daughter Devi. Sri Hari treats Devi as his own granddaughter. Gradually, he notices some abnormality in her behaviour towards him. He has the shock of his life when Devi confesses her true and everlasting love for him.
