Primitive passion does not belong in the world of undercover espionage. When Stephen Angelus, a seasoned pro, is assigned to train Josie Giltner, a rank amateur, he recoils in horror. Not only is the plan to bring down a bogus Christian right charlatan flawed, it includes the unthinkable. They are supposed to be married. Josie, a young widow intent on returning the money her husband embezzled, will take any high paying job she can find. Unprepared for what lies ahead, she blindly plunges forward. The scenic Santa Cruz Mountains provide her training battlefield. Her goal is to persevere. His is to break her. She prevails. He's toast. Sparks fly as they go from adversaries to lovers.
