Young Anneese Beasley lives in a home with her dysfunctional family. Her father works constantly, and she doesnt have a relationship with her mother, who drinks a lot and hasnt been professionally diagnosed as an alcoholic. They live in a ranch-style house in Atlanta, Georgia, with a large backyard. Anneese carries a doll around that her mother cant stand. Anneese wants to have a relationship with her mother. Her mother and father fight a lot at night. She only has her doll to talk to and trust.
