Local taxation is one of the various means made available to local authorities, which enjoy management autonomy, to invest in the development of their locality. Local authorities are financed mainly by local taxation, and by financial assistance from the State and other financial partners. The aim of this book is to highlight the stakes of taxation in the development of local authorities.
