My mother- known around South Lawrence, Massachusetts, as the Avon Lady, back in the day - was the central figure in my life's work. From her Canadian upbringing and migration to the US as a teenager, to her unwavering faith and challenging marriage, to her large, loving family and her remarkable career as an Avon representative, hers was a life of love and purpose.
