Welcome to my Little Book of Rhyme... and Reason. Most of what you'll find in these pages is simply my response to events and conversation - either on Twitter or on the news, or just thoughts that come into my head while I'm resting in my back garden. Some of the poems are actually inspired by characters in my books, and one or two are even taken directly from the pages of those books. The emphasis is on rhyme - hence the title. I like poems that rhyme, and hopefully you do too. A large proportion of the poems are tweetable - 140 characters or less. Although, a little editing is needed, sometimes, to squeeze below that number. I've grouped the poems into four distinct categories - Love - Life - Nature - Just For Fun. The good thing about these distinct categories is that they're not that distinct, some poems could fit into one or more category. So, I've dumped them where they are, and you'll have to go with the flow. You could always tear the page out and paste it in a different category, if you feel so inclined - unless you're reading the e-book. I've recently contemplated a fifth category as one or two of my rhymes have a political edge to them. Fortunately, there aren't that many, and I've slotted them in under the existing categories. You'll probably spot them, so take them as you see fit. In a number of cases I've tried to give the poems context, explaining what inspired the poem, or give insight as to what I was thinking - hence the second half of the book's title "...and Reason". Maybe this will give you a window into the wonderful world of Warrick. In others, the poems say it all, and in others still, you'll just have to use your imagination. What I would like, most of all, is for you to have fun with these poems. One or two may touch your heart, even make you go soppy, but mostly I want them to either inspire or raise a smile.
