Albert Mellen, a Jewish actor, plays the part of a rapist in the 1950s movie "Outrage" directed by Ida Lupino. His acting career ends when he is stricken with mental illness requiring years of treatment. Ann Tracy joins the convent at age fifteen and later discovers the desire for a different life. This work is based on experiences of the couple who relate their stories as encouragement to those facing similar obstacles, and as informative entertainment for the rest. In October 2010, this story won first place in its category in The Florida Writers Association's Royal Palm Literary Awards competition. The action never stops in this collection of true-to-life memoirs. It's a great read!
