Life's Journey - Book 5: The Conclusion

The conclusion to a 5 book series. Johnnie starts out as a 16 year old inexperienced and naive apprentice motor mechanic. He meets Mick, a 22 year old gay skinhead, who teaches him the ways of the skinhead brotherhood. Johnnie becomes a very skilled lover, prostitute and skinhead leader but his lack of control of his anger lands him in prison. On release, he seeks a new life in Australia, away from his problems in the UK, but ends up with more than he can handle. Dobbed in by the frieghter Captain, and dogged by the police, he heads for Karumba and the prawn trawlers with 2 friends and finds Skull, another parole violator, on his trip north and they fall in love. Even in Karumba, they are persued and they move to South Australia with the winter fishing fleet. But this was to be their undooing, and this story tells of the demise of Johnnie. Violent, as most skinhead stories are, descriptive scenes of gay love and intimacy, this is as much a love story as it is a gay skinhead story. Its ending is tragic as it is beautiful and shows what true love is all about.
