Life's a Drag

An introverted performer, with no family and few friends to care for her, is found murdered in her dressing room and no one is talking. With no leads, the police have given up on finding the killer. It seems that the case may go unsolved until Richard (Dick) Saunders is brought in on the case. Unable to get over the loss of his one true love, the case brings back old memories and heartbreak. Through the twists and turns of the investigation, secrets are uncovered that change everything for Saunders and his juggling act of intrigue. Dick's new attorney, Peter, is thrown into this brand new world. His unknown ties to Dick's past could compromise everything Dick holds dear. With danger lurking all around Dick, Peter, and Ruby (the plucky if not sociopathic Office Manager), old promises begin weighing on him. Dick's carefully spun web of broken truths and half lies is in danger of crashing down at any moment. Dick tries to keep his word and protect those closest to him, but who will protect Dick from himself?
