The stories in this collection are about the young and what they learn about themselves and the world around them. "Less than Superman," is a tale about a boy and his relationship with his father. "Love on Hold," involves a child whose parents may not be spending enough quality time with him. "Angel," deals with a young man who joins a flamenco dance class. "Food Stamps," concerns a thirteen year old who is adjusting to the death of his father and to poverty. "Paula's Grandpa," concerns a young teacher who remembers her childhood with her grandfather.
