L'Eleve de rhetorique in Bloomington, MN

Joseph de Jouvancy's work L'Eleve de rhetorique (Candidatus rhetoricae, 1710) was the last manual of Jesuit rhetoric. This publication provides the first complete translation of the work, with the aim of contributing to a new understanding of a lost body of knowledge, which would assist in the analysis of other works of the period.
