Knowledge Sharing

Knowledge-based view stresses that a firm's competitive advantage relies on the ability to collect, accumulate, integrate, recreate, disseminate, and exploit knowledge. This knowledge is hidden in people's minds and life experiences. The knowledge that is held and embodied on the minds of individuals is not usually readily given or received without incentives or an exchange mechanism; because of the characteristics of knowledge. Hence, there are many factors that impact on process of knowledge extracting. Finally, these factors bring about knowledge sharing. This book identifies several areas of different levels of individuals, teams, and organisational contexts by which knowledge sharing is influenced.
